Interim Head of Facilities - Edinburgh
Bonfire Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Interim Head of Facilities for a well-established client based in Edinburgh.

Reporting to the Group Facilities Director, the role will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of a first class service to the business. This will be across three sites and cover all facilities management disciplines. You will establish quality communication mechanisms, excellent management information processes and procedures as well as delivery of excellent customer service standard to a wide customer base. A key requirement will be the ability to develop the in-house structure and team in order to deliver a strong sense of leadership.

Management of an annual budget in excess of £4 million
Prepare and tender for service contracts as required including KPIs
Enable and manage a culture of change
Providing effective leadership, mentoring and development of staff within the team.
Ability to benchmark service provision with peer group and a willingness to embrace change
Continually consider process improvements to maximise efficiency
Work across all disciplines taking responsibility for service levels
Liaise with all other departments of the business in a collaborative manner.
Investigate and recommend any infrastructure, procedural and cultural changes required to ensure the delivery of an optimum FM service to support the businesses core activities and needs of its customers.
Set, manage and develop reporting for the budget for the FM department
Responsible for the management and control of all health and safety requirements in conjunction with the Health & Safety department
Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required by the Facilities Director.

The preferred candidate is expected to have:

Member of BIFm or equivalent institution
Qualification in health and safety management/or significant management experience
Educated to degree equivalent or equivalent experience

Ability to demonstrate leadership and management of a large team with diverse skills.
Experience of motivating and engaging staff, enabling
them to reach their potential and meet deliverables.
Ability to set clear objectives and ensure performance against these.
Ability to manage and deliver structural and cultural
change and respond positively to change and new challenges.
Experience of leading, planning, managing and implementing projects.
Evidence of successful contractor management.
Experience of events/conference marketing and catering.
Experience of financial management including budget preparation and control.
