We are looking for a Modelling Analyst to join a team that supports the development, quantification and assessment of long term strategy and policy across the public and private sector. You will be expected to structure and apply appropriate and innovative analysis to solve the complex problems faced by clients.
Skills and experience:
•Degree Classification of 2:1 or above in a numerate degree or equivalent •Experience in application of data analytics and/or operational research techniques, ideally including both “hard” and “soft” approaches •Able to develop an appropriate concept of analysis to meet the needs of an analytical project •Understanding, mining, preparing, analysing and visualising large complex datasets using tools such as SPSS, SAS, Power BI, Qlik and Tableau •Proficiency in spreadsheet and database modelling using Excel and MS Access/SQL, including strong VBA coding ability •Application of predictive analytics using the above toolsets or other simulation and modelling approaches such as System Dynamics (SD) or Discrete Event Simulation (DES) •Identification and communication of the insights generated from analytical work •Experience in communicating technical results to non-analytical stakeholders •Experience in project management and customer engagement •Excellent inter‐personal skills •Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal •Single UK nationality and UK primary residency for past 5 years •Must be willing to travel
