I am actively seeking a Staff Nurse (RNLD or RMN qualified) for a specialist Autism service based in Nottingham. The hospital provides assessment and intervention for men living with autism and learning disabilities. The service can also support people who are detained under the Mental Health Act as well as those who have complex behaviours, or have significant difficulties with social engagement.  

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.  

You will need to be RNLD or RMN qualified in order to apply for this position.   

Duties:

  • Contribute to the effective deployment of staff in appropriate numbers, skill mix and competencies, on shift.
  • Contribute to the effective, efficient and management of the rota, ensuring they reflect the needs of the service users.
  • Contribute to the preceptorship of newly qualified nurses and the appraisal and clinical supervision of nurses, support workers and student nurses.
  • As named nurse, contribute to the admissions, moving on plans and discharge processes within the service.
  • Participate in Unit meetings, as required, and make contributions as a member of the unit team, undertaking specific projects where appropriate

  • Practice in accordance with the evidence base and reflect standards of best practice. 
  • Promote a culture of change, and innovation, with the aim of improving the quality of care.
  • Promoting and maintaining standards to deliver a safe, sound and supportive environment for service users.

 

Experience:

  • Registered Nurse – RNLD or RMN qualified
  • 2 years experience supervising direct care staff
  • 3 years experience within the Learning Disability Services

All applicants must have

  • A valid NMC pin

 

Salary

Circa £24,814 - £28,329 based on 40 hours per week (£11.93 - £13.62 per hour) dependent on experience
